As part of Junior Cycle in Dunamase College, students engage with a variety of subjects.

Wellbeing

Students follow a school-developed Wellbeing programme incorporating CSPE, SPHE and PE. These are all short courses for accreditation and are supplemented by a variety of whole school initiatives, including Anti-Bullying, Safe and Ethical Use of Social Media, and RSE. These topics are covered in class, at assemblies, with visiting speakers and thematic weeks and months throughout the school year.

JCPA (Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement)

A JCPA is awarded to a student upon completion of their three-year Junior Cycle

Other Areas of Learning

Students will also have the opportunity to engage with a range of other learning experiences as part of their Junior Cycle programme, and these can be recorded on their Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA). They could include extracurricular activities such as membership of the school student council or school clubs and societies, participation in school sporting activities, etc.
